Begin with each position separately. Then notice repeated suits, contrasts between action and reflection, and whether the final card develops or challenges the earlier themes.

Example question: How can I restart a stalled creative project?
- Situation — Ace of Wands, upright.
Notice the central conditions or theme that deserve attention.
- Challenge — Seven of Cups, upright.
Consider the tension, assumption, or obstacle that may need a different response.
- Guidance — Eight of Pentacles, upright.
Choose one grounded perspective or action to explore.
The Ace supplies an impulse, but the Seven in Challenge locates the difficulty in competing possibilities. The Eight answers that particular obstacle with practice: choose one version and finish a small piece before reopening every option. The same cards in different positions would ask different questions.
