Draw the three-card career spread

The cards are drawn without replacement and read in this fixed order:

1. Current work pattern: Reflect on an observable habit, condition, or tension shaping your experience of work right now.
2. Skill or support to develop: Consider a capability, boundary, conversation, resource, or source of support that is within reach.
3. Practical next step: Identify one realistic, reversible action while checking contracts, money, safety, and other material facts outside the reading.

Three positions for a work situation

The spread looks at a current work pattern, a skill or source of support to develop, and a practical next step. A card can suggest a question or pattern, but it cannot establish what an employer, colleague, client, or market will do.

Bring real information to the reading

Set the result beside job requirements, written feedback, contracts, budgets, deadlines, and direct conversations. Distinguish between evidence and interpretation. When the reading surfaces a concern, identify how you could verify it through a specific question, document, or low-risk experiment.

• Keep private employer, client, and colleague information out of the form.
• Name one work condition that is within your control and one that is not.
• Treat compensation, contracts, tax, and legal issues as matters for qualified advice.

Finish with a proportionate step

A useful close might be preparing a question for a manager, updating one portfolio example, requesting written clarification, or scheduling time to compare options. Avoid abrupt or irreversible action based only on a symbolic draw, especially when income, safety, legal rights, or health are involved.
