Knight tarot card meanings
Knights put the suit in motion. They show pursuit and commitment, together with the excess that appears when movement loses proportion.

The Knight in each suit
Read the shared rank first, then let the suit show where the pattern is active. The four cards below are related without being interchangeable.
- Knight of Wands: The Knight of Wands brings bold movement, appetite for experience, and readiness to pursue a compelling goal. Reversed, the Knight of Wands shows action driven by impatience, ego, or frustration rather than a sustainable aim.
- Knight of Cups: The Knight of Cups carries an invitation, creative proposal, or ideal pursued through emotional expression. Reversed, the Knight of Cups warns of idealization, inconsistent emotion, or charm used to avoid reality and accountability.
- Knight of Swords: The Knight of Swords moves quickly toward a conclusion or cause with confidence and force. Reversed, the Knight of Swords shows certainty accelerating into aggression, argument for its own sake, or mental exhaustion.
- Knight of Pentacles: The Knight of Pentacles advances through methodical work, consistency, and respect for practical limits. Reversed, the Knight of Pentacles shows routine hardened into stagnation, work crowding out life, or reliability breaking down.

When more than one Knight appears
Two or more Knight cards make active pursuit and the management of momentum a repeated part of the reading. Compare the positions before combining the meanings: one suit may show the feeling behind a situation while another shows the conversation, effort, or material condition that carries it.
Move through the Minor Arcana sequence
Compare the Knight with the adjacent ranks to see what changes before and after this stage. The sequence is a reading aid, while the card's image, orientation, and spread position still decide the immediate emphasis.
